On January the 5th, I photographed this wedding for a close friend, whom I’ve known since childhood. Amelia and Jono’s wedding was located in the beautiful wine region of Marlborough, NZ. Marlborough is usually sunny and scorching hot during that time of year, but on this particular day, there were some fierce weather warnings and a couple of last minute changes due to uncertain weather. There was quite a heavy cloud overhead so lent itself to moody lighting for most of the day.
Amelia and Jono have the most beautiful companionship, the support and admiration they have for each other is something else.
I’d have to say one of the highlights of the day were Amelia’s two dresses, she dreamed up two wedding gowns and created them both herself! With a little help from her gorgeous mum, Julie. Amelia, you are one hell of a talented human!
I am also pretty excited to see Amelia and Jono’s Marlborough wedding recently featured on White Magazine’s blog.⠀
Amelia and I were “thick-as-theives” growing up, we were always creating things, sewing and making up secret languages, letting our creative minds run away with us. ⠀
We are now both taking our respective hobbies to the next level, embracing our inner ‘girl-boss’ and creating businesses built on passion. ⠀
I can’t rave about Amelia’s brand more, she is a super talented leather worker and makes durable, elegant, ethical leather bags and more, check out her work Amelia Boland (I have three bags already and definitely need more!)⠀
To be so closely a part of Amelia and Jono’s wedding day was such a delight and it really means so much to me to see their vision and hard work recognized on White Magazine’s blog xx
